Trommel screen general failures and solutions

Trommel screen solves the clogging problem of circular vibrating screen and linear vibrating screen when screening wet materials, improves the output and reliability of the screening system. It is widely used in sand and gravel separation in sand and gravel fields, as well as in chemical and mineral processing industries.

The trommel screen is relatively large processing equipment in the screening equipment. Although it does not have the complicated structure of magnetic separators and sorting machines, it has a large processing capacity during use. Therefore, it is inevitable that some mechanical problems will occur during long-term use. The corresponding solutions are given below.

1. Noise problems caused by loose bolts of equipment

Solution: Re-tighten bolts or other fasteners;

2. Wrong rotation direction caused by the wrong connection of motor power cable

Solution: replace the power cable in the junction box;

3. The problem of slow click start is caused by motor overload or excessive conveying volume

Solution: re-adjust the delivery volume;

4. Insufficient ventilation in the box or lack of lubricant causes the gearbox to heat up

Solution: Check and adjust the vents to dissipate heat and add lubricant;

5. Motor heating problem

Solution:

(1) Clean the heat sink of the motor;

(2) Check whether the fan impeller is working properly to ensure smooth air circulation;

(3) reduce the load;

(4) Fasten connection;

(5) Rewire after inspection.

6. The blockage of the screen holes

Solution: Clean up the garbage blocked by the sieve holes in time to reduce the blockage.
